- GFI Archiver for Exchange is an easy-to-use email archiving solution that enables you to archive all internal and external mail into a single SQL database.
Archiver helps to easily fulfill regulatory requirements (such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act) AND provide users with easy, centralised access to past email via a web-based search interface. GFI Archiver for Exchange leverages the journaling feature of Exchange Server 2000/2003 and therefore provides unparalleled scalability and reliability at a competitive cost. Exchange Server journals all mail to a particular mailbox, after which GFI Archiver retrieves the mail, compresses the attachments and archives them to Microsoft SQL server.
For licensing purposes, Archiver counts all users in the Active Directory (AD) domain that have email addresses. You can exclude specific mailboxes in the Archiver console to reduce the number of licenses needed. License count increases use a different part number and are a minimum quantity of ten. This is a subscription and must be renewed to continue using the product.
